LG Electronics on Sunday announced the release of Korea’s first TV-computer combination,
the TVPC Series.
The TVPC Series brings the features of the two devices into one, allowing users to perform a variety of computer tasks including Internet browsing and document composition on their TV. With the touch of a button, users can find information on the show they are watching using the “invoke Web” feature that brings up results of a knowledge search on the program or allows users to navigate to sites related to the show, the company said.

The device comes with wireless LAN and is available with a wireless keyboard with a built-in mouse. The unit comes with an Intel Celeron M 430 Processor, a 160 GB hard disk, an Intel GMA950 graphics chip, and 1GB of DDR2 memory.
LG Electronics expects that the unit will be popular among consumers who value convenience such as newlyweds, single-parent families and housewives as it provides several functions in a unified package.
